BLG-01 — RECORDS
The 0-400-0 km/h benchmark — accelerate to 400 km/h, then brake to a complete stop — has become one of the clearest ways to compare hypercar-era acceleration and braking together, rather than top speed alone. Koenigsegg has effectively been racing itself in this discipline for years: the Agera RS set an early benchmark at 36.44 seconds, the Regera then cut that down to the 28-31 second range depending on the specific verified run, and the Jesko program has since pushed the number to 25.21 seconds.
Getting there is a function of the whole car working together: the 1,600 hp (E85) twin-turbo V8 for the acceleration phase, the 9-speed Light Speed Transmission keeping the engine in its power band without a conventional shift interruption, and carbon-ceramic brakes plus the car's aerodynamic package for the deceleration half of the run. It's as much a demonstration of chassis and software tuning as of raw horsepower.
For the car's full specification, see the Jesko model page; for the downforce-focused variant most associated with record attempts, see Jesko Attack.
